Tinubu join Obasa, Meranda, and other Lagos Assembly members in Aso Rock


 Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, led his colleagues to a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, March 12. 


 


Obasa and the lawmakers arrived at the villa in two coaster buses around 3 p.m. The meeting is believed to be linked to the leadership cMinto rooms where the greeting is: “Good morning, sirs” and I’m standing right there - Bella Adenuga-Disu shares experience with workplace bias.



Meranda had been elected after a majority of lawmakers impeached Obasa on January 13, 2025. However, following the intervention of the Governing Advisory Council (GAC) and key stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Obasa was reinstated on March 3, 2025.

Ukraine Armed Forces downs Russian ballistic missile, 79 drones on the morning of ‘peace talks’ in Saudi Arabia as war rage

Ukraine on Tuesday morning, March 11 said it shot down a Russian ballistic Iskander-M missile and 79 of the drones, while another 35 drones did not reach their targets, likely due to electronic warfare countermeasures.     Ukrainian officials revealed that Russian forces attacked the country with a ballistic missile and 126 drones, setting a fuel storage facility on fire and injuring no fewer than two people in different parts of the country.   According to the emergency services, in the southern region of Odesa, the attack set on fire a fuel storage facility, a private home and a storage site for children’s toys, and more than 100 people were working to deal with the strikes.   Regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov and local prosecutors said a drone attack in northeastern Kharkiv region injured one person and also damaged agricultural storage facilities.   The air force did not say what happened to the 12 drones that were not shot down.     T...
