Nigeria footballer Ola Aina set to sign new long-term deal at Nottingham Forest

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is on the verge of signing a new long-term contract with Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

Aina is already confirmed to remain at the City Ground for at least another season after Forest activated the one-year extension clause in his current deal. However, the club is now pushing for a longer commitment from the Nigerian international.

According to The Telegraph, negotiations with the full-back’s representatives have progressed well, and a new agreement is considered a formality.

The 28-year-old joined Forest in 2023 after leaving Serie A side Torino. Since then, he has become a key figure under manager Nuno Espirito Santo, showcasing his versatility and experience.

Last season, Aina made 35 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
