“I am a mummy’s boy, big time” British-Nigerian Actor Damson Idris speaks proudly


British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris has openly embraced his identity as a “mummy’s boy,” stating he is no longer ashamed of the label.

 

Speaking in a recent interview with Kiss FM London, the 33-year-old actor expressed deep admiration for his mother, calling her his biggest fan and the reason for his existence.

 

“I am a mummy’s boy. Big time. I am not ashamed to admit it anymore. It used to be kind of like – ‘ah, he’s a mummy’s boy.’ I am actually proud of myself on it,” he said.

 

“She is the one I want to make proud… She is my biggest fan and I’m her biggest fan.”

 

Drawing a connection to a movie character named Joshua, Damson added that he relates to the character’s desire to make his mother proud and hopes to win a “championship” in life in his own way.

The Trump administration has appealed a September court ruling that ordered the release of nearly 2.7 billion dollars in frozen research funding to Harvard University.   The appeal was filed late Thursday night in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, challenging a September 3 decision by District Judge Allison D.
