Algeria include son of French legend Zinedine Zidane in AFCON squad

Goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of France football legend Zinedine Zidane, has been included in Algeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to begin on December 21 in Morocco.   The 27-year-old, who plays for Spanish second-division side Granada, previously represented France at youth level before switching his international allegiance to Algeria. New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for President Donald Trump to be impeached after he decided to bomb the top nuclear facilities of Iran, blasting the move as “unconstitutional.”   Ocasio-Cortez argued that by striking the Iranian nuclear facilities ‘’without authorisation from lawmakers'' on Capitol Hill, the president breached the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.   “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declared not long after Trump announced the attack.   “He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. The Nigerian Football Federation has stepped in to calm the noise over the Super Eagles’ accommodation in Morocco, after fans kicked up dust over the state of the team’s hotel.   Football journalist Adepoju Tobi Samuel, quoting the Super Eagles’ media officer, explained what’s actually going on.   “The Super Eagles are camped at Rive Hotel. What trended earlier was the view of an old building that can be seen from a window.
