“As a man, if you truly love a woman, rent a place for her and her family” Skitmaker Nons Miraj sparks debate


Influencer and media personality Nons Miraj has stirred conversations online after sharing her view on what real love from a man should look like.

 

Speaking during a chat on the TeaWithTay podcast, Nons Miraj said love should go beyond sweet words and public gestures. According to her, a man who genuinely loves a woman should be willing to show it through responsibility and provision.

 

In her words, one clear way to prove love is by renting a place for the woman and her family if the situation calls for it.

 

She gave an example, saying if a woman is living abroad and her family back home is struggling with poor living conditions, especially something as serious as a leaking house, a man who truly cares would step in to help.

 

For her, supporting a partner’s family is not an unreasonable demand but a reflection of commitment, concern, and seriousness.

United Kingdom issues fresh travel warning on Nigerian over 'increasing insecurity', lists 20 states as unsafe

The United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has advised its citizen to avoid travel to several parts of Nigeria, citing concerns over terrorism, violent crime, kidnappings and intercommunal clashes.   This was contained in a latest Foreign Travel Advice released on GOV.UK on Sunday, November 9, 2025.    In the latest advisory, the FCDO said "insecurity is increasing across Nigeria. Army confirms rescue of 21 kidnapped passengers in Kogi

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the rescue of 21 passengers abducted along the Obajana–Oshokoshoko road in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State. The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the 12 Brigade, Lokoja, Lt. Hassan Abdullahi, confirmed the development on Saturday while responding to inquiries about the attack.   Suspected bandits had launched an assault on travellers along the busy Osokoko–Obajana highway, targeting several vehicles and abducting passengers after blocking the road at about 2:30pm. Eyewitnesses reported that a commercial 18-seater bus and multiple other vehicles ran into the barricade, after which the assailants “seized vehicles that ran into their barricade and forcefully abducted the passengers into the bush before security operatives arrived.”   Lt.
