Tennis legend Serena Williams set for return three years after her last match

Tennis legend Serena Williams has reportedly taken the first step in a potential comeback to the tennis court.   According to Matthew Futterman of The Athletic, Williams has informed the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) that she is pursuing reentry into tennis' International Registered Testing Pool.   Williams' name was among others on an ITIA player pool list from Oct. 6.   “She has notified us that she wants to be reinstated into the testing pool,” an ITIA spokesperson told The Athletic. “I do not know if this means she is coming back, or just giving herself the option. All I can say is she’s back in the pool and therefore subject to whereabouts.”   Players listed have to be in the pool for six months before being eligible to return to play.   The 44-year-old Williams last played a competitive match during the third round of the 2022 U.S. Open. Chris Brown pleads not guilty to London nightclub bottle attack charges

American singer Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to allegations of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm following an alleged bottle attack at Tape nightclub in London back in 2023.   According to Sky News, the 36-year-old was arrested last month in Manchester after flying in for his world tour. He was initially remanded in custody but later released after posting a £5 million security bond, allowing him to continue with his performances.   Appearing at Southwark Crown Court, the  Loyal  singer confirmed his identity and responded “Not guilty, ma’am” to the charge.   His co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, 39 — also known as Hoody Baby — entered the same plea.   Both men are also facing charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, with Brown facing an additional charge for allegedly possessing an offensive weapon — a bottle — in a public place. Donald Trump warns U.S. ‘could get involved’ in escalating Israel-Iran conflict

US President, Donald Trump has warned that the United States may be forced to intervene directly in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran if the current escalation continues unchecked.   Speaking in an interview with ABC News on Sunday, Trump emphasized that the U.S. is not currently involved in the conflict but did not rule out the possibility of future intervention.   “We’re not involved in it. It’s possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved,” Trump said, referring to the rapidly intensifying military exchanges between the two longtime enemies.   The latest violence began Friday when Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran, targeting suspected nuclear and military assets. Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt has undergone surgery to repair and stabilise a partially collapsed lung following a dry needling treatment at the team’s facility, according to his brother, J.J. Watt.   The health scare was first disclosed after the Steelers confirmed that the defensive standout had been admitted to hospital. Watt later shared the update on social media, reassuring fans that he was receiving medical care. Although no official recovery timeline has been announced, he is expected to be discharged from hospital on Friday.   “He and his family are very appreciative of everyone's kind words and well wishes,” J.J.
