Solomon Grundy, Born on a Monday, Christened on Tuesday, Married on Wednesday, Took ill on Thursday, Grew worse on Friday,  Died on Saturday, Buried on Sunday, That was the end, Of Solomon Grundy. Long version Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday,  Christened on a stark and stormy Tuesday,  Married on a grey and grisly Wednesday,  Took ill on a mild and mellow Thursday,  Grew worse on a bright and breezy Friday,  Died on a grey and glorious Saturday,  Buried on a baking, blistering Sunday.  That was the end of Solomon Grundy.

Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed we'll pull 100m Nigerians out of poverty in 2020.

Image
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed on Monday restated Federal Government’s plan to pull 100 million Nigerians out of poverty this year, in line with a pledge earlier made by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.   Ahmed made this known when she appeared on a programme on NTA. Speaking during the interview, the  Minister said “President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that we must pull 100 million Nigerians out of poverty and that is our major focus. Based on the president’s directives, we want to move fast to make the kind of change the president wanted in the country. “In 2020, we want to move very fast because we realized that going at the steady rate we are doing is not going to make the kind of change that the president has directed must happen. “So, we have to make sure that we are creating more jobs and reducing unemployment, and pulling as many Nigerians as possible out of poverty. A Kenyan pastor reportedly stabbed his wife multiple times during a church service and then killed himself with the same knife in a murder-suicide witnessed by a shocked congregation. On Sunday, Elijah Misiko, an assistant pastor with the Ground for God's Gospel Church in Mombasa, left his front-row seat and approached his wife, senior pastor Ann Mughoi, on the pulpit and stabbed her with one of the knives he'd hidden in an envelope, police said eyewitnesses told them. "He walked up to his wife while the church was praying as if he wanted to whisper something to her," Mombasa sub-county police commander Julius Kiragu said. "Then he took one of the knives and stabbed her (wife) two times. He believed she was dead. He then stabbed himself three times in the stomach and slit his throat." Misiko died instantly from his stab wounds and Mughoi died at a local hospital a few hours later, police said. The couple had been engaged in a long-run
